Our Clinical Director of ABA Services

Jazmine Chavez, is a graduate of Purdue University with a Master’s degree in Special Education. She is Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has extensive clinical experience in psychology, education and childhood development. With close to 15 years of professional experience, Jazmine’s expertise spans across Southern California, now currently statewide, including consulting for high-profile families. Her dedication extends to involvement in research and proposal writing for community programs dedicated to those with special needs. Jazmine’s approach centers on identifying the origins of behavioral issues, addressing gaps, and nurturing holistic growth and development. She has worked extensively in various settings, from private practice to school districts, in-home, and remote settings, serving individuals from two years old to adults with a diverse range of developmental and physical disabilities. She is passionate about empowering individuals with special needs to lead independent, fulfilling lives. When she is not working, Jazmine enjoys spending time outdoors.

    Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

    Our team of ABA specialists (BCBA, BCaBAs, and RBTs) is dedicated to working with your family to develop an individualized treatment program to improve your child’s overall wellbeing and quality of life through learning new skills. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a gold-standard treatment for children experiencing developmental deficits or delays, i.e. Autism and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. We focus on teaching individuals new skills within various developmental domains, including but not limited to, social & emotional skills, play skills, functional communication, adaptive living, executive functioning, and self-advocacy. We emphasize the importance of teaching new skills in a fun and engaging environment, emphasizing in a naturalistic approach, “learning through play”, and deriving teaching opportunities. Our team also coordinates and consults with your child’s other healthcare providers and educational specialists as a part of their care team.

    Self-Determination Program (SDP)

    Compass Center, Inc. is now accepting SDP funding!

    The Self-Determination Program (SDP) is available to all eligible Regional Center families. The SDP will allow families to have more flexibility, choices of services, and control over decisions regarding the future of their child’s programs.
